Girl with autism assaulted in Truro while passing group of teens

A girl with autism was reportedly assaulted in Truro yesterday while passing a group of teens.

The incident has been described as "completely unprovoked and very random" on social media.

A police spokesperson told Nub News:

"Police received a report of an assault in Princes Street, Truro, on Thursday 25 June in which a woman aged in her late teens was struck in the face with a hairbrush as she walked past a group of people.

"The incident happened at around 1.10pm.

"The suspect is described as a white female, aged in hr 20s, around 5ft 6ins tall, of slim build with straight, reddish/brown hair.

"She was wearing blue sunglasses, an orange top, shorts and blue flip-flops.

"Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, or email [email protected], quoting crime reference CR/050682/20."
