Disruption on the roads expected as large load heads towards Truro

There could be delays on the roads near Truro as an abnormal load is set to be escorted tomorrow (26th).

Drivers using the M5 and A30 Westbound are being warned about a convoy which will be escorted by police.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said:

"At 9:30am police will be escorting a vehicle transporting a 53 meters long and 2.55 meters wide ship mast.

"The route is M5 Exeter Abload Layby – M5 J31 – A30 (E) – Bodmin – A30 Chiverton Cross – turn left onto A390 towards Truro – turn right at Arch Hill Roundabout onto A39 towards Falmouth.

"Police will be providing a full escort to the convoys and drivers can expect some disruption and possible delays during this time."
